As the Chairman and CEO of Daniels D’Amelio Investment Management Group LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor and Fiduciary, I can fall back on 40+ years of goals based wealth management by actively investing capital for affluent families, individuals, banks , endowments, corporations, and retirement plans. Through bear and bull market cycles, our clients have persevered, enjoying a high degree of transparency, diversity, moderation, and conservatism while generating a competitive yield.
As balanced, growth and income money managers, our firms style is to generate cash flow on all securities, while avoiding the lack of transparency offered through packaged products such as mutual funds, unit investment trust and Exchanged traded funds. Our portfolios typically position investment grade bonds for the fixed income portion and good quality dividend growing stocks for the equity component. Our clients are stockholders and bond holders of primarily domestic, well known American companies that not only pay dividends, but have a long history of increasing them, year after year.
Born in Cambridge Massachusetts and raised in the town of Winchester, I attended Bridgton Academy, Nichols College and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. Starting my career in the Boston office of Merrill Lynch, I spent 21 years between their Boston and Jupiter Florida offices. In 1981, I was very fortunate to have been named a Vice President and stockholder of Smith Barney, a privately held firm at the time, where I spent 9 years of my career. Both firms provided me a wealth of knowledge and extensive training. With a penchant of some day owning and operating my own firm, I ventured out to the boutique side of Wall Street and became a Branch Manager and Senior Vice President of both Tucker Anthony of Boston and Advest of Hartford Ct. This provided me the insight and budgetary training I needed to one day run my own firm. On April 22, 2019 I retired from Merrill Lynch and on the same day started Daniels D’Amelio Investment Management Group LLC, with all client assets custodied at Charles Schwab Institutional.
